We had an issue with our fan motor, and this company was amazing from start to finish. They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem right away, and had everything fixed in no time. The technician was professional, reliable, and clearly knew what he was doing. It’s hard to find service companies you can truly trust these days, but they were honest, efficient, and fair. We called this company to come out to assess a resident's AC problem and give us an estimate to repair the issue. They gave us an initial quote that was $858 after the $109 diagnostic fee for a simple repair to replace a fan motor. The cost of the fan motor is about $90 and the labor to install it should take less than an hour. We were in the process of getting other estimates to find another, more affordable vendor, but this company just came back out without authorization and did the work. Then they invoiced us for over $1200 saying that they also replaced the thermostat. The system didn't need a thermostat as it was replaced just a week prior and was brand new. Then they took our new thermostat with them. When we told them they performed this work without approval or authorization, they essentially said that is too bad and you have to pay the bill. I asked for proof that they had authorization to proceed with repairs and they sent an invoice with a squiggly mark (see photo). We were trying to dispute this and see what we can do to get something worked out or come to a resonable agreement about what to do because they did do work, but we would have never agreed to their pricing. The owner just decides that he is going to file a mechanic's lien on the property and does nothing to try to make up for the issue forcing us to pay because our lender would have had a realy issue with a lien. Now we are probably going to take them to small claims court to get restitution. Beware of these guys.
