Showed up on time, provided a reasonable quote, and communication early in the process was strong. I had them come out for an estimate and, after researching rates, found their pricing competitive. I moved forward largely because of their customer satisfaction guarantee. Austyn, the project manager, was friendly, level-headed, and straightforward, and his communication was clear with timely updates. Every employee who came to the house was courteous and professional, and they worked diligently while on-site. Unfortunately, the project has involved repeated issues, delays, and added costs, and I am still without a working system. The initial installation placed both the indoor cassette and outdoor unit incorrectly. After a second visit, the placement was corrected. Following that visit, I was asked to sign paperwork stating the work was complete. Assuming the system was functional, I signed. When I immediately went to test it, the system would not turn on. I then learned the electrical work had not yet been completed, meaning the project was not actually finished at the time I was asked to sign. They did return with an electrician afterward. Once electrical was completed, the system still would not operate properly. After further troubleshooting, it was determined one cassette had a manufacturer defect—an internal copper coil leak. While the manufacturer provided a replacement unit, I was advised that manufacturer defects are not covered and that the company does not inspect or test units prior to installation. I was then told it would cost an additional $2,300 to install the replacement, despite the system never having been fully operational. I consulted other HVAC companies, who advised they would typically replace a defective unit in this situation without charging additional labor. Due to the unresolved issues, completion sign-off concerns, and the system still not functioning, I have filed a formal complaint with the Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors. While the staff on-site has been professional and communication initially was solid, my experience ultimately involved significant setbacks, additional costs, and an unfinished result. I’ll leave you with the last message from the project manager: “ We looked back at install photo form and they held a vacuum at 350psi and for it to hold that kind of pressure it would have to be a pinhole leak, also didn’t get power to it till Thursday giving more time for it to leak, it does not take much leakage before it will heat inefficiently and on arrival today it still had just enough pressure on it that it was still trying to operate, it’s super unfortunate all the way around I hate to see you in this situation” BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE. I had a second company come and inspect the unit they claim was a manufactured defect. IT WAS NOT. They intentionally damaged the unit. See attached picture of the “defect” they are claiming. They also left exposed wire underneath one of the windows

I have used Plus one HVAC service several times, all pleasant experiences. Recently had a few plumbing issues and decided to give the plumbing division a go. Chad arrived on time, is polite and treated our home with care. He repaired two leaking toilets and three clogged sinks quickly, in one trip! All fixtures are now functioning like new. Chad is very knowledgeable and efficient handling each plumbing issue like a true professional. Best of all workspaces were left cleaner than when he arrived! Once again Plus One did not disappoint. Thanks Chad and the whole Plus One team for treating my home with respect and care once again! Both Plumbing and HVAC services Top Tier!

We personally will not use anyone else! One source literally does it all: heating/cooling, plumbing and electrical! It’s like a one-stop shop for just about any fix you could think of. They’ve installed and maintained our hvac system for years now, and we were beyond pleased to find out that our favorite service tech, Eddie, was promoted to manage and oversee all of the hvac techs now! He is truly top notch, and has always made sure that we had everything we needed.
