I contracted this company to install a new AC and heater unit in 2017. Eight years later, I have been cited by the city because the unit was never inspected and approved by the city so the permit expired. Air Tech never finished the job, explaining that the tenant didn't return her call to allow her to go back. I, as the landlord was never notified there was a problem. I could have easily granted them access into the property. I am giving the owner the chance to complete the process with the city but she is refusing to take full financial responsibility for paying the permit and required duct testing. The owner refuses to speak with me directly and I feel bad for putting the employee in the middle of this. EDIT on 4/14/25: They became responsive and have finished the permit process and split the remaining costs (duct testing & permit fee) with me.
