Cool Air USA is the best HVAC company bc they perform top rate services at reasonable prices. Their technician, Michael D, is an expert. He created a return box using wood and cleaned the AC coils, both of which required a deinstall and reinstall of my AC. He also replaced a defective duct in my attic. Michael was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I am so happy that all came out great. I would recommend this company.

Update 01-22-2026 – After submitting this review, I was contacted by Cool Air USA about my concerns which led to an immediate appt by a different crew to do a re-install. I was informed that the original existing concrete slab was a poured slab that could not be replaced. The A/C unit was removed, and the concrete pads were replaced after leveling out the ground. The new pads were placed much closer to the house and were of a more appropriate size. The ductwork under the house remained the same but this time was secured at the exterior wall opening. Custom insulated connecting ducts were created to cross connect to the A/C, then enclosed by a new custom metal shroud. This was a FAR more professional installation than the original. Many thanks to Cool Air USA for reaching out and cleaning up the previous work. I cannot remove previous information regarding this review as the original installation was deemed satisfactory by Cool Air USA. But due to the company’s willingness to address this job, the Review Rating has been adjusted from 2 stars to 4 stars. See additional photos. Original Review - I have waited a little over one year to write this review. First interaction with Cool Air USA was when a technician came to the house to clean the evaporator coil/system on our package unit. During the diagnosis it was discovered that the thermostat was bad. Cool Air USA was able to replace it on the same visit. We then decided because of the age and condition of our AC unit, that it was time to replace it. Cool Air USA was very quick in organizing and setting up the installation for us. Once the AC replacement was selected by Cool Air USA, I checked the dimensions and realized it would not fit on our existing concrete slab. I was told by the company that the installers would have quick drying cement and 2x4 boards to form the concrete slab as required. Instead, the installers brought two concrete pads which they laid crossways over the existing slab and onto the sandy soil. Installers broke up parts of the existing slab to use as support for the new pad laying on the soil leaving open crawl space, making for prime iguana habitat. The house sits slightly above ground with a crawl space where the A/C duct work is routed to various intakes/vents of the house interior. After pulling the old unit, laying new concrete slabs, the installers realized that the A/C ports on the unit were sitting higher than the opening where the duct work was and started chiseling away at the concrete exterior of the house. (This would not have been an issue had they just removed the existing slab.) When they removed enough of the house exterior, they placed the package unit on the pads and attached the unit to the duct work underneath the house. They connected the unit, started it and began building a shroud to cover the exposed duct work between the unit and house. My wife called me to inform me that the A/C was running backwards: the air was blowing into the house through the intakes! The installers were informed that the duct work was hooked up backwards. Everything was disconnected and the unit was moved away from the house. Rather than move or replace some of the duct work at the opening of the house, the decision was that they would leave the unit further away from the house and extend the duct work by doing a loopty-loop to swap sides to make the connection. The installers had to request additional ducts from their warehouse, adding additional time for installation. The unit was now further away from the house, so a larger shroud to cover the distance from the house to the unit was needed. The shroud was built with no insulation for the large additional space between the house and the unit. The installation looks very shoddy aesthetically. The shroud top was concave. When it rained it held a one-inch pool of water on top. I called the company and asked if the shroud was covered in our warranty for rust. Within a few days they came out and replaced the shroud. Positives: excellent choice of package unit; quick appt for installment.
